Cadaver Dissection: Anatomy Instruction and Surgical Demonstration - Forearm/Wrist/Hand

Description:

This course will use cadaver dissection to thoroughly review anatomy, key structures and functional relationships in the wrist and forearm region of the upper quarter. Surgical demonstration will highlight common procedures of the wrist, forearm and of the hand and digits on cadaver specimens.

Objective(s):

  • Describe 3 significant landmarks of wrist and forearm anatomy used for surgical techniques and rehabilitation treatment

  • Discuss implications of wrist and forearm tendon and joint pathology with regards to anatomic relationship and surgical intervention

  • Interpret anatomical signs and regional pathology for surgical implications in the wrist and forearm
