Hand Pain in the Adolescent Patient
Adolescent hand pain is common, especially in today's society with homework, computers, etc. Some patients have underlying conditions that contribute to this. These conditions include juvenile idiopathic arthritis, hypermobility syndrome and fibromyalagia. We will discuss treatment options and methods for adolescent patients with these diagnoses as well as discuss the roles the hand surgeon and therapist play within their overall care.
